The Workshop on E-Symposium on Building Innovation Ecosystem in Educational Institutions.
was held virtually on 11th January 2022 at 10:00 AM via online platform by special initiative of the ministry of education in collaboration with ministry of commerce and industry and ministry of culture, govt. of India.
E-Symposium on Building Innovation and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Educational Institutions was inaugurated by Minister of State for Ministry of Education and Ministry of External Affairs – Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh and the Welcome Address was presented by, Dr. Anil Sahstrabhudhe, Chairman, AICTE. Shri Sridhar Vembu and Shri. Gautam, Founder, FarEye Pvt. Ltd was invited to give the Keynote Address. Panel Discussion on Innovation, Human Values, & Sustainability and Best Innovation and Start-up Practices in HEIs were held. More than 30 faculty and students of DBCE actively participated in these events.
Scientific advancements and breakthroughs are occurring at a breakneck speed. However, it is frequently remarked that in the dash for technological advancement, sustainability and human values are often overlooked. Human values and sustainability are highly important in terms of our long-term aim, and they should be an intrinsic element of innovation. This panel examined numerous case studies as well as their own experiences in ensuring that human values and sustainability are inherent to innovation.
The Indian higher education system is changing and now places a strong emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship. The government's policy actions at all levels are crucial in fostering and supporting the innovation and start-up movement in educational institutions. The panel will address how different public and private educational institutions are using best practices and models to foster innovation and an entrepreneurial ecosystem on their campuses.
Key outcome of the activity:
Human values and sustainability are important for long-term aim, and they should be a constitutive term in innovation and use of best practices for innovation & start-ups.
